Home Sweet Texas Program Requirements

To qualify for the Home Sweet Texas Home Loan Program, you must meet the following criteria:

Minimum credit score: 620 for FHA, VA, and USDA loans; 640 for conventional loans.

Income limits: Vary by county and product; No-DPA and DPA-only products may allow up to 150% of area median income.

Debt-to-Income (DTI) ratio: No maximum with AUS approval. FHA manual underwrites are allowed up to 43% DTI if your FICO score is at least 640.

Location: Available for eligible homes statewide, with no separate Texas residency-duration requirement.
